Edinburgh-based organisation the Irish Business Network Scotland, soon to be rebranded as Causeway, has announced the appointment of Gráinne McMenamin as the Events and Exchange Manager for their growing organisation.

Gráinne’s role will focus on managing events for the network, supporting the membership base, and raising the profile of the organisation. She brings with her extensive expertise in relationship management, business development and marketing, as well as significant experience in promoting business links between Ireland and Scotland as a committee member of the Irish Business Network Scotland.

Speaking of her appointment, Gráinne said: “Having worked in the sector for a number of years, I have seen first-hand the benefits of bringing business leaders from Ireland and Scotland together. In the current economic and political climate, collaboration is more important than ever.”

Causeway facilitates the sharing of business contacts and ideas that allow members to thrive in their sectors. The not-for-profit organisation hosts membership events throughout the year, including awards nights and talks from invited guests focusing on a wide variety of issues that may affect business leaders both in Ireland and Scotland.

Causeway Chairman Colm Moloney said: “As an influential business development network, our membership base is very important to us. As we continue to expand our activities and events, we felt it was necessary to appoint a dedicated Events and Exchange Manager.

We are extremely pleased to formally welcome Gráinne to the newly created role. Her knowledge and experience will prove invaluable to the continuing success of the organisation and our members.”
