Fife Flyers’ Edinburgh-based assistant coach Jeff Hutchins has welcomed American-born defenceman Jim Jorgensen to the Kirkcaldy club.
The former Braehead Clan, Sheffield Steelers and Coventry Blaze player is also a winner as he was a member of the 2014/15 play-off-winning Coventry side.
Jorgensen is expected to arrive in Fife later this week and should be in the line-up at Braehead on Saturday.
Hutchins said he had played and coached against Jorgensen and Fife will be a better team all round with him in their line-up.
Elsewhere, Braehead Clan are locked in talks with a new imported player after revealing that Canadian forward Adam Brace is likely to be out for the next month.
And they hope to have the new man in their line-up for Saturday’s home Elite League clash with Fife Flyers (7pm) and their visit to Sheffield Steelers on Sunday in the Challenge Cup, Group A (5pm).
