Hibs have completed the signing of Vykintas Slivka from Juventus for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.
The 22 year old midfielder has signed a 3 year deal, becoming Neil Lennon’s seventh summer signing joining fellow countryman Deivydas Matulevicius in the first team squad.
Both watched last night’s 6-1 win over Arbroath from the West Stand and were happy to sign autgraphs and pose for photos with fans.
Initial reports suggested that he would be joining on a one year loan deal but Italian giants Juventus agreed to the permanent move and Hibs have thanked them for their cooperation.
The 6ft 3in Lithuanian international has played 19 times for his country, including recent World Cup qualifiers against Scotland and England.
He joined the youth ranks of Italian champions Juventus in 2012, and has since spent loan spells at Modena, Den Bosch and Ascoli. We’d like to thank Juventus for their cooperation with the deal.
Vykintas told Hibernian Media: “I am very happy to have signed for Hibernian.
“This is another step in my career and I am really excited to be joining the club.
“The international matches against Scotland and England have given me a taste of the British style of football, and now I can’t wait to get started.
“I am looking forward to meeting the squad and getting ready for the new season.”
