Celebrities from the angling world will be in the Capital this weekend for a special open weekend hosted by Edinburgh Angling Centre at Granton.
Special offers are promised along with demonstrations of casting, rig and fly tying. Free tuition is available and experts will answer questions from the public.
The store will be open from 8am to 5.30 on Saturday and Sunday and major manufacturers will be there.
Among the big names scheduled are Rio, Simms, Vision, Hardy/Greys, Scierra, Tronix, Abu Garcia and Shakespeare.
One manufacturer intends to showcase a new line and Sarah Collins from Get Hooked on Fishing will be on site to give advice to people interested in taking up the sport.
Ronnie Armstrong, the megastore’s assistant retail manager, said that there were 150 car parking spaces in the megastore complex.
However, there is plenty of off-street parking around the store near Granton Square.
More than 20 staff will be on duty on Saturday and Sunday to deal with customers.
And Mr Armstrong said that pre-booking for the two-day show had been extremely encouraging.
There was, he added, interest from West of Scotland anglers who had intimated they would be making their way through to the Capital for the event.
