Former Edinburgh Monarchs star Justin Sedgmen is set to make his debut for Ipswich Witches when they host Glasgow Tigers to Foxhall on Thursday in the SGB Championship (7.30pm).

Tigers are second in the table and are on 16 points the same points as early pace-setters Edinburgh Monarchs and third-placed Witches, who have 14 points, can go to the top of the ten-strong table with a win over Tigers.

Sedgmen, who also rides in the SGB Premiership for Manchester-based Belle Vue Aces, replaces crocked Nico Covatti.

The Australian, who is the reigning Scottish Open title holder, will make his debut on Thursday if the move is approved by British Speedway.

Witches team manager Ritchie Hawkins believes Sedgmen will fit in well at the club.
