Former Edinburgh Monarchs star Steve Worrall helped Newcastle Diamonds come from behind to snatch a 45-45 draw on Tyneside.
Worrall came home second in Heat 15 won by team-mate Robert Lambert to secure a 5-1 with Monarchs skipper Sam Masters third and Erik Riss last.
The Armadale combine had been eight points adrift after six races but clawed their way back and levelled after Heat 12.
Masters and Ricky Wells combined for a 5-1 in the next race with Lambert third and Worrall a faller for a 37-41 lead.
The sides the drew Heat 14 3-3 but Monarchs but could not hold on in the final heat.
Top scorer for the visitors was Max Clegg with 14 points from four wins in six rides with Masters and Erik Riss both collecting ten points.
Best for the home side was Worrall with ten and Lambert with nine.
