Robyn Lewis hopes Caledonia Pride can build on their previous performance when Manchester Mystics visit The Oriam on Saturday (1pm) in their latest Women’s British Basketball League (WBBL) clash.

The inspirational player was boosted by the second-half fightback showed by the squad against league pace-setters Nottingham Wildcats in their last outing at Riccarton.
They eventually lost by 14 points (63-49) but that was a significant improvement from their previous clash in the Midlands.
Manchester also lost their last match, a 69-45 defeat to Sevenoaks Suns at the National Basketball Performance Centre.
However, there are real dangers in the Manchester side who contest the WBBL Cup final against Nottingham Wildcats.
Playmaker Georgia Jones can put all of her team-mates in positions to score for the third-placed team in the league and Lewis added: “Manchester have played some great team basketball in the first part of the season and move the ball really well for each other.”

Dom Allen, Rheanne Bailey and Amy Browne are also threats according to Pride’s Scottish international who is also a Great Britain under-20 guard.
Manchester’s major strength, however, lies in their depth with the likes of Jo Claydon, Nicky Welling and Isabel Bueriberi all able to find the basket.
Lewis added: “We stepped-up in our last game and we are moving in the right direction. Naturally, we want to win and we have to play smart and limit our turnovers which hurt us against Nottingham.”
