Police are investigating following a report of a serious assault at an address in Durar Drive.
The incident happened between 9.30pm on Wednesday, November 30, and 3.10am on Thursday, December 1, when a 57-year-old sustained an abdominal injury following a disturbance within a property in Durar Drive.
The man subsequently returned home and contacted emergency services a short time later. He was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment, where he is detained in a stable condition.
Police were notified and are now appealing for witnesses.
Detective Sergeant Robbie Wallace of Corstorphine CID said: “The victim in this incident has suffered a serious injury and we are eager to establish the full circumstances surrounding it.
“We are eager to speak to anyone who may have been in the Durar Drive area on the evening of Wednesday, November 30.
“If you have information that can assist in our inquiries we would ask that you get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
