Great Britain Under-20s have named six Scots – five of them playing in Scotland- in their squad for next month’s World Championship (Division 1B) in Budapest.

Netminder Renny Marr, formerly of Fife Flyers, is joined by Josh Grieveson (Dundee Stars), Fife-born Tyler Plews (Edinburgh Capitals) Jordan Buesa (Braehead Clan) and Solway Sharks pair Connor Henderson and Duncan Speirs.

The squad, who won a bronze medal in France last year, face hosts Hungary, Slovenia, Poland, Italy and Ukraine from 11 to 17 December.

Tommy Watkins, their head coach, Tommy Watkins, said: “This is a very strong squad. Last year’s bronze medal was fantastic for the team and we want to build on that.

“We have a tough five games ahead of us next month but the squad is ready.”
