The brilliant Tales of One City blog run by the city libraries staff has alerted us to something quite special in Capital Collections.
Mary Archibald who lives in Slateford has kept a journal of daily activity in the colony garden from her Sitooterie. She is someone who gets up early and watches the flora and fauna in the garden. She also sketches what she sees and this is a lovely record of what is happening in her world.
