Hibs’ defender Liam Fontaine is looking to build on last weekend’s victory against Falkirk with another three points against Dunfermline on Saturday.
Neil Lennon’s men lost to Queen of the south in midweek however Fontaine insists that Tuesday’s result is in the past and the league is the priority for the club
He also praised the relationship which has built u between the players and supporters over the last two seasons and he believes that this could prove beneficial in the season ahead.
Speaking to Hibs TV, Fontaine said:” We are obviously disappointed to be out of the cup but we got off to a great start in the league last week and we have to build a run which we will. It was good to get three points on the board and that’s how you want to start a season.
“Every team comes with their threats and it’s up to us to nullify that and put our mark on the game.
“We are a good team and we are a strong team and we will go out on Saturday and play our game and hopefully get a win.
“We had a great pre-season and a great start last week but we lost in the cup so we have to move on.
“It’s great, the supporters have always been great at Easter Road, but to have more people there is going to be better for the team in general. It’s testament to what’s been going on at the club in the last couple of seasons.
“We’ve got a great bond with our fans and it’s great to get the support from them.
“Hopefully this will be another successful season for us and the fans get to see some good football.”
