The Hibernian Development Squad continued their pre-season campaign with a comprehensive 8-1 victory at Home Park yesterday.
A James Keatings hat-trick, two goals from Oli Shaw and goals from Callum Crane, Jordon Forster (pictured) and Jamie Insall secured the victory with John Crawford scoring a consolation goal for Coldstream.
Following the match, Hibernian Development Coach, Grant Murray told the club website: “I think obviously we created a lot of chance, scored a lot of goals. It was great for the younger ones that were involved as it was a very experienced side we had down today. You’ve got to come done and be professional at places like this, and I thought the senior boys were exceptional.
“First of all they add the experience they’ve got, they just bring a bit more stability as well. I thought big Jordon [Forster] and Keatsy [James Keatings] were fantastic throughout. We’ve got a big game coming up on Thursday night, so the manager made it clear that he wanted them to get a bit more fitness out of it.
“It’s great for Coldstream, that Hibs are prepared to send down a team with the calibre they did, and we got a convincing win. We probably could have scored more but credit to Coldstream, they stuck at it.”
