Police have released images of two men they wish to trace in connection with a serious assault at Tamsons Bar in Easter Road on 27th February.
The incident occurred around 10pm when a 61-year-old man was assaulted, during which he was knocked unconscious and sustained a fracture to his right cheek bone.
Detectives are keen to trace the men pictured within the CCTV footage who were seen to be in the bar at the time of the assault.
The men are described as:
– White, with a large build, in his mid 20s, 5ft 10inches to 6ft tall, short dark hair, wearing jeans and a burgundy jacket;
– White, with a slim build, in his late 20s to early 30s, 5ft 10inches to 6ft tall, medium length dark hair with a beard, wearing jeans, a blue jumper and a yellow jacket.
Anyone who recognises the men in the images is asked to contact Police Scotland immediately.
DC Christopher Harding of Gayfield CID said: “The victim was subjected to a sustained assault while out with his daughters, during which he suffered a fracture to his right cheek bone.
“The men pictured are believed to be of significance to our investigation and anyone who can assist in tracing them is asked to come forward.
“Similarly, we would ask the men themselves to get in touch with police and help with our investigation.”
