Shoosmiths is a national law firm with an office at Saltire Court, and last week they hosted a fashion show at their offices when they raised more than £600 for Edinburgh charity Smart Works.
Over 60 guests watched as staff wearing clothes from some of the capital’s boutiques strutted their stuff on the catwalk. The clothes and accessories came from Kakao by K, Covet, ALC and White Rabbits.
Smart Works is a charity with a real purpose. It provides work outfits for women at interview stage and later if required. They offer styling advice and training for interviews, and find that their support increases women’s chances of getting a job.
Marika Franceschi, family partner in the Shoosmiths Edinburgh office, said: ‘All staff throughout the office have come together to organise a spectacular evening, which has been enjoyed by all.
‘It has been a pleasure to host and organise this event for such a worthy cause and would like to thank everyone involved.’
Frippy Fyfe, founder of Smart Works Edinburgh, said: “Thanks to the support of organisations like Shoosmiths, Smart Works Edinburgh is able to support more women back to work with our dressing, styling and interview training services. With these services we boost confidence and help women believe in themselves and succeed in their job interview.”
