Hibs’ defender Liam Fontaine has raised over £2,000 for charity after he shaved off his beard for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, double the original target and today he expressed his gratitude to the people who donated money to his fundraising efforts.
Fans can still contribute to this worthwhile cause via the Hibs’ website.
He said: “It feels great to have raised so much money, I certainly didn’t think I would raise as much, but it’s fantastic. The people that have donated – I would like to thank them first and foremost.
“At the end of the day all that I done was shave off my beard that I grew for a while, but we’ve raised such a big amount for such a great cause.”
