The Hibernian Development Squad lost 1-0 at home to Hamilton yesterday.
Former Hearts’ striker Christian Nade scored the only goal of the game in the second half at Ainslie Park.
Hibs fielded a young side against Hamilton who are challenging Celtic at the top of the table although there was a surprise for the home support with the inclusion of first team squad winger Dan Carmichael who is returning from injury.
Hibernian U20 Development Coach, Joe McBride, was happy with the performance of his youngsters an experienced Hamilton side.
Speaking after the game McBride told the club website: “I thought we did okay, when you look at the experience in their team and the youth in ours. It was good to see them stick at it against a good side. It’s never nice to lose a match, but it was a great experience for the boys.
“Obviously you’re always looking for better, but it’s all about what they learn from playing against these experienced guys, it’s priceless for them.”
