Hibs’ longest serving player Lewis Stevenson has enjoyed the two week break which he believes has given both him and his team mates time to rest their legs following a busy November.
The versatile left back has been in consistent form during the club’s magnificent run he is looking forward to Saturday’s trip to Greenock where Hibs face Morton.
Hibs currently sit in second place in the Championship, three points behind leaders Rangers who beat Dumbarton 4-0 at Ibrox on Tuesday and the pair meet later this month but Stevenson insists that they are not thinking further than Cappielow.
Speaking to Hibs TV he said: “The break has been great, you sometimes need that and your legs take a bit of a pounding. People pick up a few niggles that need fixed and just a wee break to get them away.
“Everyone is back now, fresher, stronger and ready to go.
“We’ve had a tough week of training this week and it will be a tough game on Saturday but we can get three points. Morton are a good team and they caused us a few problems at the start of the season and being at home they will fancy their chances but I’m sure if we play the way we can pay we have every chance of getting a win.
“From the start of this run that we have been on, we’ve been taking every game as it comes. People talk about the Rangers game but that will take care of itself when it comes. Three points is three points at the end of then day and we need to get them.”
