Hibs’ fans attending Saturday’s game with Queen of the South will be able to get their hands on the Scottish League Cup thanks to tournament sponsors Utilita.
Hibs face St Johnstone in this season’s semi final at Tynecastle and the trophy is no stranger to Easter Road having spent some time in the Boardroom in 1972, 1991 and 2007.
The trophy will be on display in the East Stand concourse from 2pm, with Utilita accepting donations for the charity Home-Start, a national family support charity that helps parents to build better lives for their children. They will also be handing out 150 teddy bears to supporters – so make sure you get down early with your wee Hibee for a special Christmas treat.
And Utilita are offering supporters the opportunity to win two tickets for the Scottish League Cup semi final with St Johnstone – simply get your photo with the trophy and tweet @UtilitaEnergy using the hashtag #UtilitaFootball.
A spokesperson for Utilita said: “Home-Start is an extraordinary charity bringing love, hope and invaluable, incredible support to some of Scotland – and indeed Britain’s – most vulnerable families.
“The reality is any one of us could need Home-Start’s help one day – so we are honoured to work alongside such inspiring people who amaze us daily with their work.
“We say to all Hibees fans attending the Queen of the South game on Dec 19, with the semi-final against St Johnstone next month, come and have your pic taken with the Scottish League Cup, presented by Utilita Energy – and any spare coins into Home-Start’s collection buckets would be gratefully accepted!”
