Hibs’ defender Jordon Forster (pictured) hopes to stage his return to match action in Tuesday’s friendly against his old loan club Berwick Rangers (14 July, kick off 7.45pm).

The 21-year-old suffered ligament damage to his ankle at Falkirk in May, but has made a successful recovery and is now aiming to play against the club he featured for on loan three years ago.

Speaking to hibernianfc.co.uk, Forster said: “I’m feeling good and I’ve coped pretty well, although I probably need a couple of bits of extra training.

“It was definitely a big disappointment to get injured when I did and to then miss the play-offs was a huge blow.

“But I had the summer away and in that time I managed to get fit enough in order to rejoin the boys straight away for the first day of pre-season training.

“Right now, it’s all looking pretty positive and when I met the supporters at the Open Day last month that gave me a big boost.

“”I’m looking forward to going back to Tuesday night. The club means a lot to me – me and Danny went there on loan and learned a massive amount.

“Both Berwick and East Fife played a huge part in my development and helping me to make the breakthrough with Hibs, so I’ll always be grateful to them.”
