Hibs’ Development squad comfortably beat Rangers at the Bet Butler Stadium last night.
Goals from Taylor Hendry, Connor Duthie, Jordon Forster (pictured) and Franck Dja Djedje gave Hibs a 4-0 lead before Ryan Hardie pulled a goal back for Rangers.
After the game Development Coach McBride told the club website: “I thought we played some terrific stuff, we moved the ball really well, created chances and probably could have scored a few more. In the first 10 to 15 minutes of the second half we took a while to get back into our stride, but I was delighted with the performance all round tonight.
“It’s difficult to keep that kind of possession and momentum going for 90 minutes and Rangers put us under a bit of pressure in the second half. I’m sure their coach got in and about them at half-time and we were expecting them to come out with a flurry.
“We scored with our first foray up the pitch in the second half and they got one back. Despite that, I thought we saw it out quite comfortably.”
“We had a couple of experienced lads in the side tonight and that always helps. I was pleased with them, their attitude is always first class, but I was really pleased with some of the younger ones tonight.”
