Hibs’ Head Coach Alan Stubbs is determined that his players won’t suffer a ‘hangover’ following last week’s defeat to Falkirk which ended the club’s unbeaten run.
Hibs face Alloa Athletic at Easter Road on Saturday and both absentees Liam Craig and Dominique Malonga are available for selection after missing the Falkirk game due to injury and suspension.
Speaking to Hibs TV, Stubbs said: “The reaction from the squad has been really good.
“I wanted to see disappointment on the players’ faces after Saturday because it shows that they care. I think it’s important to see at times.
“But on Monday morning we spoke about the game and then we moved on.
“I don’t want them to dwell on it and I don’t want there to be a hangover. Yes, we know that we dropped below the standards that we’d set ourselves in previous weeks and months.
“But we’ve got a chance on Saturday to address that and a chance to start another run.
“We managed to get through the bulk of our training before the snow actually hit us.
“We were quite fortunate that it came before training and then came towards the latter stages of the session, so we finished it off in the barn on the indoor astro.
“It is what it is – you have to get on with it, but the good thing is that we managed to train properly.”
