Police in Edinburgh are appealing for information to help trace a 12-year-old boy reported missing in the capital last week.
Jye Slater was last seen in the Muirhouse area of Edinburgh at around 6pm on Saturday 26th July, and anyone who can assist in locating him is asked to come forward.
He is described as white, 5ft 8in, of slim build, and with cropped long hair with a side parting. He was last seen wearing a red Nike sweatshirt, grey Adidas jogging bottoms with blue stripes and navy blue Firetrap trainers.
Inspector Nigel Thacker said: “Jye is a 12-year-old vulnerable child who has been missing for nearly a week and whilst there have been several sightings of him during this time, he has failed to return home.
“Anyone who has seen Jye or has information that can help us establish his whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland immediately.
“In addition, I would request that Jye get in touch with a loved one, a friend or with police in order we can establish he is safe and well.”
