If you were flying from London to Edinburgh over the weekend you may well have been one of the Virgin Atlantic Little Red passengers treated to some extra special festive in-flight entertainment.
Virgin Atlantic Little Red LIVE launched in August when a series of Little Red flights between Heathrow and Edinburgh were transformed into the 274th Edinburgh Festival Fringe venue, hosting surprise stand up performances from popular comedians Joe Lycett and Lee Nelson in the air.
This weekend Little Red LIVE surprised flyers from London to Edinburgh with a very Christmassy welcome from Neston based Community choir Hip and Harmony.
Passengers were treated to renditions of Christmas classics including Winter Wonderland and White Christmas from the 11 person strong choir, complete with a beat boxing Santa Claus on board – in keeping with the Virgin Atlantic’s rock and roll spirit!
The choir was chosen by Virgin Atlantic as the airline was keen to offer the gig to a community based choir who would really benefit from the experience. The donation provided by Virgin Atlantic for the activity is enabling Hip and Harmony to set up a Youth Choir in 2014.

In addition, Virgin Atlantic Little Red will be doubling its complimentary baggage allowance from Boxing Day to 2nd February on flights between Edinburgh and London Heathrow, providing bargain-hunting shoppers with a little helping hand post-Christmas. Passengers will be able to check in two 23kg bags each plus additional sports luggage free of charge*.
