Hibs young defender Jordon Forster has dedicated his first ever goal to David Paul after scoring a header in the club’s 2-0 win at Ross County on Boxing Day.
The 20 year old was thrown into the deep end in May when he was chosen to play against Hearts at Tynecastle in a game that Hibs won 2-1.
Since then he has recorded 14 starts for the club and opened his goal account with a diving header from a Paul Cairney corner at the start of the second half.
Speaking to www.hibernianfc.co.uk, Forster said: “I was very happy to score my first goal for Hibs; it was a special moment and one I’ll never forget and I would like to dedicate it to my team-mate David Paul.
“It doesn’t get much better than scoring and keeping a clean sheet, so it was a successful trip up north.”
Forster has been handed the right-back role for the past three matches and the 20-year-old says he is enjoying the challenge of adapting to a new position.
He added: “It’s tough; getting to grips with a new position is always hard, but I’m a hard worker and will work hard to learn the position as quickly as I can.
“As long as I’m playing for Hibs I can’t complain. The gaffer has been brilliant with me, believing in me and giving me a chance to play.”
