It will be back to some kind of normal on the buses from this weekend when the ‘gate’ between Queensferry Street and Princes Street is reopened.
Lothian Buses have told us that:-
From Saturday 5 October 2013 buses will again operate from Princes Street directly into Queensferry Street at the West End.
Services 19, 36, 37, X37, N37 and 113 will run straight along Princes Street to Queensferry Street in both directions.
Service 41 will run via Hanover Street, George Street, Frederick Street, Princes Street to Queensferry Street in both directions.
Service 47 will continue to run via Lothian Road, South Charlotte Street, Charlotte Square, Hope Street, Queensferry Street in both directions.
Sarah Boyd, Head of Operations – Bus said:-“The re-opening of this bus gate should help to ease congestion around the West End area. We will have street supervisors in the area on hand over the weekend period to provide passengers with information of relevant bus stop changes.
