Fashion fans have been treated to a series of exclusive events at the City Art Centre this month amidst the buzz of the Edinburgh Festival. Last week we got a glimpse of the latest collections from Thistle Street denim specialist ALC and Scandinavian fashion boutique Kakao by K showcased during an exclusive fashion show within the surrounds of the gallery’s ‘Coming into Fashion’ Conde Nast exhibition.
Highlights of the show included a Paul and Joe Sister cardi-coat from ALC and an elegant pink and gold Malene Birger dress from Kakao by K. The show was a result of a local creative collaboration between retailers ALC and Kakao by K, stylist Ann Russell from Frock Trade, Hair by Dickson Reid, images by PSD Photography, models from Colours Agency and make-up by Kari Hart and Laura Sutherland.
The City Art Centre fashion programme continues until 8th September with various Scottish designer showcases and creative events. The gallery is located conveniently next to Waverley train station and is open 7 days a week. Find out more about the gallery programme here.
