Written and performed by Nigel Nevinson, adapted from The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens.

Mr Pickwick departs on his travels, and after several farcical misunderstandings he finds himself on trial for breach of promise of marriage. This entertaining one man play features a selection of well-loved characters from The Pickwick Papers, and will appeal to both aficionados of Charles Dickens and people wanting to discover one of the best known novels in British literature.

Nigel Nevinson has been in nearly 100 plays and musicals since starting his career in weekly rep with Lynda Bellingham and Nickolas Grace. He comes from a theatrical family and his godmother was Dame Edith Evans. He previewed this show at Brighton Fringe, receiving some great reviews, and is looking forward to reviving the show again in 2014 at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Director John O’Connor is producer of European Arts Company which he founded ten years ago. He is also an actor and director and is at present on tour with Four Farces.

John graduated from Telford College in 2010 with an HNC in Practical Journalism and since then he worked for the North Edinburgh News, The Southern Reporter, the Irish News Review and The Edinburgh Reporter. In addition he has been published in the Edinburgh Evening News and the Hibernian FC Programme.
