The Gilded Balloon – Sportsmans August 2-12
This summer, one of Sweden’s most prominent comedy stars makes his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. On his native playground Björn Gustafsson is a beloved comedian and TV star. The same year as his entrance to the Swedish comedy scene he was voted as “funniest man of the year” by national newspaper Aftonbladet.
This year Gustafsson has toured the country and appeared in television, most recently with an outstanding interpretation of The Office character Gareth in the Swedish edition of the popular show.
The witty and likeable entertainer Björn Gustafsson started off his career in 2006 at the early age of 20. A year later he landed his first TV gig, a debut that reached over four million views on YouTube (!) Since his exceptional entering to the Swedish comedy scene he has contributed humor slots to Eurovision Song Contest and starred in several movies and TV shows. Spring 2013 Björn Gustafsson completed a national stand-up tour with fellow comedian Henrik Schyffert, which received standing ovations across the country.
John graduated from Telford College in 2010 with an HNC in Practical Journalism and since then he worked for the North Edinburgh News, The Southern Reporter, the Irish News Review and The Edinburgh Reporter. In addition he has been published in the Edinburgh Evening News and the Hibernian FC Programme.
