SUMMER ACTIVITIES PROGRAMME – LIMITED PLACES UP FOR GRABS
The City of Edinburgh Council is running a summer programme designed to give young people in Edinburgh a safe and enjoyable introduction to an exciting range of outdoor activities. This summer’s activities have proved really popular so far and with only a few places remaining for this year now is the time to sign up for the last week of activities.
Organised by the Sports and Outdoor Education Unit these sessions are run to the highest possible safety standards using some of the most experienced and qualified instructors in the city. Starting each day from the newly opened Bangholm Outdoor Centre in north Edinburgh; groups venture out each day to venues close to the city returning at the end of the day both tired and happy.
Councillor Paul Godzik, Education Convener said: “This is a great opportunity for children on their summer holidays to experience something new. There are some places still available on our mountain biking and rock climbing days so get in quick if your children are thrill seeking or even just a bit bored.”
All activities cost £20 per child and meet at Bangholm Outdoor Centre, Craighall Gardens, Edinburgh EH6 4RH at 10am – pre-booking is required.
