Edinburgh children’s author Lari Don was on hand to officiate at the opening of the new library at Canal View Primary School in Wester Hailes earlier this week.
She said: “I am delighted to open this library. I cannot stress enough the importance of reading books for children of all ages.”
It is a lovely space with lots of books for the children to read and borrow. They have been involved in the design which incorporates lots of light, colour and floor cushions.
