Livingston snapped a two-game losing run with a 0-0 draw at Dunfermline, but the result is another blow for the men from The Home of the Set Fare as they bid to climb back into the William Hill Premiership after being relegated last season.
The home side enjoyed 60 per cent of the possession on the day and had eight shots with seven coming in reply from the visitors.
More than 5,000 fans watched the action at East End Park and Frankie McAvoy, Livingston’s co-interim manager, said there were a few opportunities for his men but he added: “We did not make the right decision at the right time.”
He told Livi TV said the players were too slow to execute and he added: “When we get into that final third we have to make sure that our decision making is a little cleaner and we get shots off quicker.”
Livingston are fifth in the table with 14 points from 11 games while The Pars are sixth with 14 points from nine starts.
Stenhousemuir are on 23 points still lead the Championship table by two points from Raith Rovers. The sides drew 1-1 at Ochilview on Saturday.
