Detectives are appealing for information following an attempted robbery and theft in Linlithgow.
The incident happened around 11.25pm last night, Tuesday, 1 September, 2026, at a premises on Falkirk Road.
A man entered the premises and demanded keys to a vehicle.
According to police he also attempted to take the vehicle however did not obtain the keys nor the vehicle.
He re-entered the premises and a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol were taken.
The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 10in tall, and of medium build. He was wearing a white face covering, a black zipped hoodie, and black Nike trainers with orange around the lace area. He carried a large, black rucksack.
Detective Constable Matt Morran said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.
“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage which could assist our enquiries to come forward.
