Cami Brown believes his Glasgow Tigers speedway squad face an “acid test” in their opening speedway match of the season at arch rivals, Edinburgh Monarchs.
Brown is excited to see how his new-look side perform and he said: “It’s never easy going to Armadale, but we will have our fans travelling through and they will be on the third bend as usual making a lot of noise.”
He added: “Our boys have got to perform for them. We’ve got a decent record against the (Ross Eco Technologies) Monarchs recently, but that means nothing now, we start from zero this season.”
Brown is confident The Allied Vehicles Tigers can do a good job on the night (tapes-up 7.30pm) in this BSN Series clash and he said that it is vital for his side to hit the ground running.
He added: “We’ve got to win or keep it very tight so we can pick up the aggregate bonus point. We want to progress to the BSN final.
“Although it’s our first team meeting, most of the boys have been riding for other teams and in their own countries. They should be race sharp.”
