Police officers investigating the serious assault of a 26-year-old woman near Abbey Road in Dalkeith on the evening of Friday, 4 October, 2024 have issued an update.
Yesterday Saturday 12 October a 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with the offence.
He has been released pending further enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are continuing and there will continue to be an increased police presence in the area.
