It seemed like a victory lap when Christine Jardine – who has been Liberal Democrat MP for the last two terms – arrived at the Highland Hall at Ingliston around 2.30am.
Her supporters already believe that she has held the seat in Edinburgh West by a considerable margin.
Scottish Liberal Democrat leader, Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP was there to greet her with many supporters including the leader of the Liberal Democrat group on The City of Edinburgh Council, Cllr Kevin Lang and Cllr Louise Young.
