Charlie Mitchell, from Edinburgh’s Carrick Knowe Club, has captained Scotland to the youths home international bowls title in Belfast.

Charlie was joined in the squad by three other local players – Logan Kennedy (Cockenzie & Port Seton BC), Kyle Logan (Kirkliston BC) and Sarah Roberts (Colinton BC).

The Scots, coached by Colin Noon and Julie Forrest, finished on 59 points with England runners up on 46. Wales (19pts) took third place with Ireland (16 points) bringing up the rear.
