A dream has come true for Oona, a 10-year-old para-swimmer from Edinburgh.

Thanks to the combined efforts of the Edinburgh Giants wheelchair rugby league team in conjunction with the Edinburgh Eagles RL club Oona has finally been able to fulfil and ambition and enjoy the view from the top of Arthur’s Seat.

With a house looking on to the famous landmark Oona always wondered what it would be like to reach the roof of the Capital.

Word reached the rugby league community and along with Paradventures GM4X All Terrain Wheelchairs Bike & Services an ascent was planned.

Oona’s amazing swim progress is chronicled on the Facebook page “Little Red Wheelchair” and the latest insertion refers to the climb, saying: “Oona and the team got the biggest cheer when she reached the top and we spoke to people from all over the world. We are so grateful to the amazingly strong team who helped make this happen. Oona says “They are my heroes.”
