James Dunn (Corstorphine) and Lauren Dickson (Lasswade) were the respective winners of the Lasswade 10 mile road race, revived after a Covid enforced break of four years and sponsored by VMH Solicitors.

In decent conditions James’s time of 53.57 mins put him ahead of Callum Reid (Edinburgh AC) who clocked 55.30 mins. Third was the host club’s Ross Matheson in 56.30 mins.

Women’s winner Lauren came home in 58.46 mins well ahead of Moorfoot’s Carol Moss (72.42 mins) and North Ayrshire’s Adele Boucher (72.49 mins).

For the organisers Linda Smith, who coaches at Lasswade AC and works with the sponsors, said:

“We finished with 153 entries and were pleased with that number for our first race back after Covid.

“There was some good feedback from the runners and hopefully we can build on this next year.”
