Snowdrop weekend at Hopetoun

Each year Hopetoun House at South Queensferry takes part in the Scottish Snowdrop Festival.

Over this last weekend both the house and the extensive gardens were open to the public to celebrate the arrival of the spring blooms.

Photographer Alan Simpson was on hand to capture one of the photogenic visitors.
