A baby porcupine, or porcupette, was born at Edinburgh Zoo in August, and is the only one in Scotland.

The one-month-old Cape porcupine, Fiddich, is now spending more time outdoors with its parents.

The quills are covered with keratin like human fingernails or rhino horns.
