Hibs’ striker Kevin Nisbet has been named as the SPFL player of the week following his outstanding performance and two goals in the club’s 3-2 victory over Hamilton Academical.

Nisbet gave Hibs the lead with a superbly struck free-kick from 25-yards then added a second with a tremendous header from Joe Newell’s cross to make the score 2-0.

Only fine goalkeeping from Hamilton’s Kyle Gourlay denied him another two goals.

Nisbet currently tops the SPFL goalscoring list with six.

Team mate Ofir Marciano who saved a penalty in the same match also made the team of the week which was selected by Craig Fowler from A View From the Terrace.
