This festive season, Dovecot Studios presents ‘Merry Makers Market’. Featuring 20 designers and makers, this is a chance to support the local creative economy and pick up textiles, homeware, skincare, jewellery, accessories, and gifts.

Taking place in Dovecot’s airy spaces including the Tapestry Studio Viewing Balcony, visitors will be able to safely browse the work of contemporary makers including Green Thomas, Emily Millichip, Lucky Cloud, and Jenny Deans.

Committed to showcasing the best in contemporary, art, craft and design, Dovecot are delighted to provide a platform for the creative industry. During a turbulent time for the retail sector, Merry Makers Market is a chance to celebrate local talent and to support independent businesses.

Set in the context of Dovecot’s world-renowned tapestry studio, Merry Makers Market will have various safety measures in place including timed entry, a one-way system, sanitising stations, and the use of face-coverings.

Alongside Merry Makers Market is Dovecot’s current exhibition ‘Mid-Century Modern: Art & Design from Conran to Quant’, which delves into the design, fashion, and art of post-war Britain and the designers who led the way from Terence Conran to Mary Quant.
