The Scottish Government has issued figures today of the number of people who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The figures as at 10 October 2020 are as follows:
Number of new cases of Covid-19 reported today – 1009 new cases which is 14.1% of those newly tested
19,664 new tests for Covid-19 which reported results
During the week ending 10 October:
- 47,820 people newly tested – 6,591 positive
- 117,920 tests reported (22 tests per 1,000 population)
Number of deaths reported today of people who have tested positive – 6
Number of people in Intensive Care Units in Scotland – 34
Number of people in hospital with recently confirmed Covid-19 – 432
Public Health Scotland confirmed that the number of new cases in Lothian is 160
Since the start of the outbreak:
- There have been 3,948 confirmed cases of COVID-19 amongst residents of care homes for all ages since 9 March
