A new courtyard bar is opening at Holyrood Distillery next week.
In association with Innis and Gunn and Pizza Geeks Holyrood Distillery – the first single malt distillery in Edinburgh for almost a century – is inviting you to enjoy their courtyard.
The al fresco bar and street food space just off St Leonard’s Lane will be a welcome addition to the list of other places to enjoy some food and drink outdoors. They will serve Innis and Gunn’s draught beers, Holyrood Distillery’s own full range of gin and gin liqueurs, a choice of Scotch whiskies and pizza galore straight from the Pizza Geeks oven.
The bar will be open Thursday to Sunday from 12noon to late, until at least the end of August. Service will initially be table-service only, with card-only transactions. No pre-booking will be required. ‘Grouped’ seating for up to six people from one household/bubble, or up to four people from two different households/bubbles will be available. Children will be welcome in Courtyard Bar with their family group until 7pm. Tables will be protected from inclement weather by parasols.
Head of Visitor Experience at Holyrood Distillery, Debs Newman said:“Holyrood Distillery was conceived with a focus not just on innovation and great flavour, but also the visitor experience in mind, so whilst it’s too soon to consider re-opening our five-star distillery tours, we are really looking forward to welcoming friends and first-timers into our distillery home, for something new; and in a safe and well-managed outdoor environment. This summer is about working together with other food and drink producers in the city, allowing everyone to come together and support a local industry we should be proud of: whether that’s a pint of Innis and Gunn, a slice of some of the best pizza in town or one of the distillery’s top notch gins or liqueurs.”
The Distillery Shop will also reopen from 15th July where visitors can choose bottles from the full range of Holyrood’s gins, whiskies and liqueurs, as well as a selection of Innis and Gunn lagers and IPAs, and a range of merchandise. A pre-order, click and collect service will soon be available at www.holyrooddistillery.co.uk
