The Scottish Women’s National Team will return to Easter Road for two crucial UEFA Women’s Euro 2021 qualifiers.
Back in August, Scotland kicked off Group E with an 8-0 rout of Cyprus at Easter Road – in front of a record-breaking home crowd for a competitive contest.
The stadium will now host the games against Portugal (Tuesday 14 April) and Finland (Tuesday 22 September).
SWNT Head Coach Shelley said: “We’re delighted to be returning to Easter Road in April.
“It was a memorable night the last time we played there and we’re looking forward to playing in front of another large crowd.
“Hibernian were brilliant hosts last August and it’s great to have another two games at Easter Road.
“Our Euro 2021 campaign has started well but there is a long way to go and we’ll need the Scottish public behind us if we are to achieve our goal of reaching our third consecutive tournament.
“It would be brilliant to see as many Hibernian and Scottish football supporters as possible come along and add to the atmosphere.”
Hibernian Chief Executive Leeann Dempster added: “It will be great to have the Shelley and her squad back at Easter Road.
“There is an obvious appetite for international football in Edinburgh going by August’s record-breaking crowd and we’re proud to host a group of players who inspired a nation with their first-ever World Cup qualification last summer.”
Confirmed ticket details for both matches will follow in due course.
Scotland opened their qualification section with resounding wins over Cyprus and Albania.
Group winners and the three best runners-up will qualify directly for the finals in England, while the remaining six runners-up will battle it out in the play-offs.
