Time to stop Brexit and independence and build a brighter future

Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie today used an eve of poll campaign stop outside St Giles Cathedral today to push the campaign message for the final time.

Mr Rennie said: “At this election the Liberal Democrats are clear that a vote for us is a vote to stop Brexit, stop independence and build a brighter future for Scotland in the United Kingdom.

“Brexit is bad for jobs, the economy and security. If the Conservatives win we will be stuck in years of trade negotiations while important local issues fall by the way side. Meanwhile the SNP want to pile chaos on top of chaos with another independence referendum.

“If you work hard and play your part, you and your family should be able to rely on good jobs, a warm home and excellent public services. For too many people right now, this is not the case.

“Liberal Democrats will end the uncertainty caused by Brexit and independence and use the £50 Billion Remain Bonus to invest in public services like boosting local mental health services and deliver free childcare from 9 months

“That’s how the Liberal Democrats will deliver a brighter future for the whole of the UK.”
