Grove Menzieshill moved into pole position in the men’s Premiership with an 8-2 victory over Former champions Kelburne at Glasgow’s National Hockey Centre.

And Johnson made it 5-0 from a shot near the penalty spot after 55 minutes before Danny Cain netted a consolation nine minutes after that from Watsonians with a reverse stick shot from the top of the circle.

Western Wildcats hammered Hillhead 7-0 and Clydesdale dismissed newly-promoted Dundee Wanderers by the same scoreline at Titwood and Edinburgh University bounced back from an opening day defeat by Watsonians to win 5-1 at Uddingston.
