Elite League: Fife Flyers 5, Sheffield Steelers 4 (after sudden death overtime); Dundee Stars 2, Manchester Storm 4. Scottish National League: Murrayfield Racers 8, Kilmarnock Thunder 1.

Murrayfield Racers proudly paraded the Scottish National League silverware to fans after thrashing bottom club Kilmarnock Thunder 8-1 in Edinburgh.

The home side led 4-0 after the first 20 minutes and 6-0 at the end of the second before closing the game out.

Elsewhere, Rick Pinkston was the hero when he claimed a sudden death overtime game-winner as Fife Flyers edged play-off rivals Sheffield Steelers 5-4 in a thriller at The Fife Ice Arena.

The American defenceman claimed the all-important goal 3min 17sec into the extra session after the home side had scored an equaliser in the dying seconds of regular time.

On Tayside, Dundee Stars slipped three points behind Manchester Storm who occupy the eighth and final place in the play-off race after a disappointing 4-2 defeat at The Dundee Ice Arena.

The result means Omar Pacha’s men failed to earn a point this weekend after a 4-1 defeat at Nottingham Panthers on Saturday.
