Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious fire in Pumpherston which happened around 4am on Saturday morning in Drumshoreland Road.
A Volvo V40 was set alight, resulting in the fire spreading to a Nissan Note and a garden shed.
The two vehicles and the shed sustained significant damage, though, thankfully no one was injured.
Inquiries to identify those responsible are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to come forward.
Detective Constable Ross Hamill from Livingston CID said: “Fortunately the fire has not spread to any residential property, or resulted in any injury to members of the public, but we are treating this incident very seriously.
“If you remember seeing any suspicious activity within Drumshoreland Road during the early hours of Saturday morning, or have any other information that can assist with our inquiries, then please contact police immediately.”
Those with information can contacr Livingston CID via 101 and quote incident number 747 of the 16th June. Alternatively, an anonymous report can be made to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
