See Your City, Hear Your Stories: Mercat Tours to thank local community with exclusive free tours of hidden Edinburgh for one day only
On 1 July 2018 Edinburgh’s award-winning storytellers, Mercat Tours, are offering residents with an EH postcode the chance to rediscover and enjoy their City by taking part in an exclusive free tour of hidden Edinburgh – entitled See Your City, Hear Your Stories.
The date celebrates exactly 33 years since founder Des Brogan set up the company with some fellow history teachers, when he himself was 33. His daughter Kat Brogan now runs the family business and is offering the exclusive invite to locals, with the simple aim of thanking the Edinburgh community for all the help they’ve given to Mercat Tours’ success.
Explaining Kat said: “Remembering our roots and being part of Edinburgh’s community is at the heart of everything Mercat Tours does, it is key to who we are and the experience we offer visitors. From Edinburgh’s fascinating history to the spirit the city and people have to this day, it attracts visitors from across the world and we’re delighted to welcome them, and give jobs to locals who want to give a 5-Star experience.
